We are still in the process of revitalizing and formalizing the committees for our association. The committees and descriptions listed below have been proposed to the board of directors. Revisions and approvals will not be completed until February 2005. However, we do not anticipate any major revisions or denials.

| Landscaping Committee |
Purpose
The Landscaping Committee is so formed for the purpose of maintaining the appearance and repair of the Settles Bridge community grounds, specifically the front entrance to the community. Scope The Landscaping Committee shall focus primarily on maintenance of the community's front entrance. However, the Landscaping Committee may also provide oversight of terrestrial issues that impact or pose danger to community or Suwanee City property. Example: The Landscaping Committee could provide oversight of a fallen tree, a pot hole, or a sink hole if any of those issues affected community or Suwanee City property. Responsibilities The Landscaping Committee is responsible for maintaining the appearance and repair of the Settles Bridge community grounds, specifically the front entrance to the community. The Landscaping Committee may organize any event which it feels will improve appearance or repair of the community grounds, provided that an announcement of the event is sent to all members of the association in good standing and that the focus of the activity is within the scope of the Social Committee. Responsibilities of the Chairperson The Landscaping Committee shall be led by a Chairperson who shall be responsible for attending the regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Directors. The Chairperson shall be responsible for reporting the Landscaping Committee's plans and status to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may cancel or veto any planned activity of the Landscaping Committee. The Chairperson may appoint any number of persons to serve on the Landscaping Committee provided that the appointed persons (A) volunteered for the opportunity, (B) are residents of the Settles Bridge Homeowners' Association, and (C) are at least 18 years of age. |
| Social Committee |
Purpose
The Social Committee is so formed for the purpose of maintaining and growing the community goodwill through activities that promote social interaction between neighbors. Scope The Social Committee shall focus on community-wide development of goodwill and friendship. The Social Committee shall, in all activities, maintain a focus that provides social opportunity to no less than 25% of our community; even if less than 25% of the community accepts the opportunity. Responsibilities The Social Committee is responsible for organizing the traditional annual events of Settles Bridge Homeowners' Association, including (1) Spring Festival, (2) Summer Picnic, (3) Fall Festival, and (4) Holiday Party. The Social Committee may organize any event which it feels will improve social interaction of the community, provided that an announcement of the event is sent to all members of the association in good standing and that the focus of the activity is within the scope of the Social Committee. Example events may include hosting theme parties, game nights, trips to sporting events, etc. Responsibilities of the Chairperson The Social Committee shall be led by a Chairperson who shall be responsible for attending the regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Directors. The Chairperson shall be responsible for reporting the Social Committee's plans and status to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may cancel or veto any planned activity of the Social Committee. The Welcome Committee is so formed for the purpose of expressing gratitude, congratulations, and condolences on behalf of the Settles Bridge community to specific households meriting such recognition. Scope The Welcome Committee shall focus on specific households. Responsibilities The Welcome Committee is responsible for organizing appropriate expressions for events which have immediate affect on a household in our community. Those events include: (1) Resident Moves [both in & out], (2) Births, (3) Deaths, (4) Hospitalizations lasting over 5 days. The term "immediate affect" should be interpreted as having significant impact upon the life or livelihood of the persons dwelling within the household. Responsibilities of the Chairperson The Welcome Committee shall be led by a Chairperson who shall be responsible for attending the regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Directors. The Chairperson shall be responsible for reporting the Welcome Committee's plans and status to the Board of Directors.
