10,000 visitors are expected to attend this year's Suwanee Day.

Suwanee Day - September 15

Make sure to save room on your schedules for this year's Suwanee Day on Saturday, September 15.  Started in the early eighties, Suwanee Day has evolved from a gathering of residents outside City Hall to a full-blown festival that fills several blocks of the Old Town historic district.  The event includes a parade, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, entertainment, children's activities, and fireworks.  Last year, approximately 6,000 people attended the festival - and just like the City of Suwanee, attendance and enthusiasm continue to grow each year.

Just like every year, the festival starts with a parade at 10:00 Saturday morning.  Beginning at the corner of Suwanee Dam Road and Stonecypher, it travels down Suwanee Dam to Main Street, where it turns right and heads down to the festival area.  For the first time Suwanee selected the vendors that would participate, awarding only about 65 spots from over 120 applicants.

There will be free performances all day at the Burnette-Rogers Pavilion at the end of Main Street, with vender booths downtown from 10:00 - 4:00.  Suwanee Night performances will take place from 7 - 10 p.m., with one of the most anticipated events, a professional fireworks display, taking place at dusk.
