Newsletter of the Settles Bridge Homeowner’s Association, Inc.
Post Office Box 837 Suwanee, GA 30024

On the back of this newsletter you will find an update form for our neighborhood telephone directory and for emergency contacts within the subdivision. It would really be most helpful if you could get this form back to us as soon as possible. Why not take a moment right now and fill it in? We will be updating the online and print versions of the directory and want to make sure that it is as accurate as possible.
The weather will soon start to corporate, and we can finally start work on the subdivision entrance. This is the first thing that visitors and potential homebuyers see, and we really want to make a good impression.
We are planning a neighborhood work party (probably in early Spring) to do some of the work so we can save some money. If you have any skills, products, or advice that you would be able to donate please contact any of the SBHA officers.
Since Christmas, we have added riders of motorized scooters to our normal neighborhood traffic. Several homeowners have complained of near collisions between one of these scooters and a car. This is a confrontation that the scooter will always loose! We really need cooperation from the scooter riders, their parents, and neighborhood drivers to make sure that we avoid any problems.
If you were wondering about the collection of pipes scattered around the vacant land at the intersection of Settles Bridge Road and Suwanee Dam, wonder no longer. The pipes are from Gwinnett Water Department - they are putting in piping for the two new golf courses.
The golf courses are not actually in the City limits, but are in the area. The first is already under construction at the end of Johnson Road and is right next to Riverside Elementary. This one is Bear's Best (Jack Nicklaus) and is a Ryland Subdivision. The second is off Moore Road next to River Moore Park, and is being developed by the same group that did Sugarloaf. The first house will not be built for 1 & 1/2 to 2 years. The subdivision will have 498 homes starting at around 3200 square feet.
