A full Spring edition of the "Settles Bridge Sentinel" will be coming out soon. It will contain more detailed news.

The SBHA Board of Directors met on April 20 to execute normal business, establish the agenda for the annual SBHA neighborhood Spring meeting, and set dates for some upcoming events. This flyer is to announce some dates in May you need to put on your calendar.

Next Sunday, May 2^nd @ 5:00pm – The annual neighborhood meeting of the SBHA, Inc. This meeting will take place in the usual location (in the area of 4700 block of Settles Point Rd.)

Some topics to be discussed:

Upcoming plans for SBHA neighborhood block party, 1998 financial report, 1999 SBHA dues, proposal for front entrance re-design and enhancement, front entrance capital fund raiser, spring garage sale, and election of 1999 officers.

If you have a topic to be added to the agenda or would like to be nominated as one of the officers please contact Roger Kennedy at 770-271-8307 before next Sunday.

Saturday, May 22^nd – Settles Bridge neighborhood "Block Party". We haven’t had one of these for quite some time and thought it would be fun !! Perfect opportunity to meet your new neighbors, renew old friendships, eat good food, and catch up on neighborhood activities.

Details are up in the air right now so be sure to attend the meeting on May 2^nd to help plan this event.

Saturday, May 29^th - SBHA Spring Garage Sale. Plenty of time to plan for this one and get your attic and garage "treasures" ready. We took a careful look at the calendar this year and made sure we got this one scheduled for the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend!! (some people were quick to remind us that we missed the correct weekend last year).
